This year I am teaching Health, Math and Science for the 9A students as well as math and science for the 9C students. I will also teach a grade 9 Leadership option as well as Math Skills 9. I am looking forward to a fabulous year.
I have been teaching at ELJHS for 26 years. I enjoy being a teacher because we touch lives--we have great influence on the future of our planet. Our hopes and dreams lie with our children.
I believe that all students can learn. Belief in your abilities and the pursuit of excellence are necessary keys to success. Together we will work to maximize our potential which allows us to be productive and compassionate human beings.
I grew up in a tight knit family on a farm in north-eastern Alberta. My husband and I have been married for 29 years. I have one son—his name is Aidan and he is a great joy in my life. Sports, outdoor pursuits and travelling have played very important roles in shaping who I am today. I also love animals! Living on an acreage allows me to retain my farming roots—I enjoy the solitude of country life as well as the companionship of my horses and cats.
